Hello, today I want to write about my visit to the Aquarium in Chicago. I spent, at least, 2:30 hrs. watching a several kinds of fishes, but the fish that called my attention was "The Pirarucu" his scientific name Arapaima gigas, in my country his name is Paiche.
The Paiches are the largest freshwater fish of South America. They can reach length of more than 2 or 3 mts. and 100 kg. The record was 200 Kg and 4.52 Mt. This is an spices most sought.
The Pirarucu is torpedo-shape with large blackish-green scales and red markings.
The diet of the Paiche consist  of fish crustaceans. The reproduction is mouth-brooder (oral incubation) the male has the eggs into his mouth and the female helps the male circling them and fending off potential predators.
The Paiche is hunted by local human populations, they are caught in large nets and the meat is delicious, the meat is valued by the Japaneses.
I suggest you to taste "Cebiche de Paiche" but in a good restaurant, where they  practice the responsible fishing!!!

   CEBICHE OF PAICHE!!!

hello

good night! it is almost 11:00 pm and I will start to write my blog. The reason that I have to be late with my blog is because I bought a book in the Harold Washington Library, the name of my book is "love sense" by Dr.Sue Johnson, my friend Paulo, told me that is a "libro de auto ayuda" I don't share his idea... I find this kind of book interested to read, because it can give me  another point of view, I am a romantic girl :). well that is the reason to be late. This weekend I had missed the Kendall food, I find that the variety of dishes that we have, we can nit find in other place, my roommates and me have to cook :(   it was not bad at all!! I am thinking about my breakfast for tomorrow jaja. Last Saturday was horrible for me, I almost got frozen, we decided to go "shopping" in the middle of the worst snowstorm for me! the next time I will ask to Mr Google before to leave my "warm home" you must be careful with the weather in Chicago.
